October is shaping up to be a big one at The Brewery! We've got great live music, our regular open-mic poetry and comedy nights, the Taranta Festival Launch Party and some seriously good DJ nights from local crews YesPleez and Endemika Records! Plus a whole lot more, so see you there!
Poetry Night
Each month, our open mic poetry night transforms Bellingen Brewery into a vibrant hub of storytelling, expression, and connection. With a welcoming crowd and a diverse lineup of voices, it’s the perfect space to share your words or simply sit back and be inspired.
The Deux Overs
Deux Overs, made up of Jesse Redwing & Sloan Peterson, are rolling into Bellingen Brewery for a couple of sets of blues originals, ’60s classics and a few favourites thrown in along the way.
Taranta Festival Launch Party
Get ready for the 4th edition of the Bellingen Taranta Festival (30 Oct/ 1Nov)! Put on your best dancing shoes for an afternoon of Italian music and dance with Santa Taranta plus guests at the Brewery and listen to what this year's festival is cooking!
Hoot-E-Nanny: Open Mic Music Night
The Brewery Hoot-E-Nanny returns! A laid-back, anything-goes open mic night for the musicians, the songwriters, the jammers and the brave first-timers. Got a song? A set? A half-finished idea you’ve been sitting on? This is your stage. Whether you’re flying solo or bringing the band, we’re opening the floor for a night of raw, local talent and good times.
Bonsai & Brews
Grab your drink of choice, settle in, and enjoy this beginner-friendly 2 hour workshop of practical learning. Bonsai expert Mason guides you through potting, shaping, and wiring a bonsai, drawing on 30 years of experience. You’ll head home with your own bonsai, how to care for it, and the confidence to keep it growing long after the event.

The Brew Note Jazz Club
Each month, The Brew Note Jazz Club featuring Roger Burke & Friends bring Bellingen Brewery to life with an evening of world-class jazz, blending classic sounds with fresh improvisation. Settle in with a drink and enjoy a relaxed, high-quality live music experience that’s become a favourite on the local calendar.
Open Mic Story Jam
Each month, Bellingen Brewery becomes a place for storytellers young and old to gather and share their gifts. Hosted by local storyteller Nathan Meola, Story Jam is an opportunity to tell a story, jam with musicians, or simply be inspired by others. Expect the unexpected!
Express Yourself: Hip Hop Open Mic
Express Yourself is about creating a community for singers, MCs, beatmakers and other creative minds to showcase their talent and tracks. The other purpose of the night is to tap into the improvisational art of freestyling. We will have a range of games and formats and plan to do everything possible to make a space where vocalists feel comfortable diving into the unknown.
Mitch Burgess
Mitch Burgess is a jazz and blues guitarist, singer, and songwriter based in Woolgoolga. Known for sitting ‘in between’ genres, Mitch brings an energetic, upbeat sound shaped by expressive phrasing, improvisation, and a strong blues influence.
Golden Hour Weekdays
Monday to Friday, 5–6pm. $15 Margaritas & Aperol Spritz $9 house wines — Red, White & Rosé $10 pints of Bello Pale Ale Ease into the evening.
